According to Guinness World Records, the largest film studio in the world is Ramoji Film City which is located in Hyderabad, India. The studio, which was built and opened in 1996 by Telugu film producer Ramoji Rao, covers a total land area of about 1,666 acres and includes 47 sound stages as well as a variety of permanent sets featuring locations ranging from religious temples to train stations that are used for a variety of film production projects.

Ramoji Film City is around 21 miles from Hyderabad, India. Thousands of people and families visit the studio each year, making it a famous tourist site. Ramoji Film City is expected to attract 1.5 million tourists every year.
