Why do I get sores after my period?
Why do I get sores after my period? Mentorship is an important part of every woman’s life. Most women have to go through this process for a period of two to seven days every month. Accordingly, they have to go through this process for about 3000 days in their lifetime. During this period, due to negligence related to hygiene, women have to face various problems. In such a situation, it is important for the problem free periods to have the correct information of the maintenance procedure. Let’s know about this.
Choose the right sanitation method
Choose the right sanitary napkin according to your period pattern. You can also use different sanitary napkins on different days and places according to your need. Most women have a rapid flow in the initial days and light flow in the later days. If this is the case with you, then in the initial days, use long and extra abrasion and normal napkins on low flow days.
After coming out of the body, due to exposure to external bacteria, infection in the menstrual blood starts. This happens even on days when the blood flow is low or low. Moisture, bacteria and sweat particles are present on the pad even on low flow days. When these bacteria live in a place with heat and humidity for a long time, then their number starts increasing. In this case, there may be a risk of urinary tract infections, vaginal infections and skin rashes etc.
During periods, blood often collects in the vaginal region. It should be cleaned at some intervals. Failure to do so causes bad odor from the vaginal region. The genitals should be washed every time the pad changes. If for some reason it is not possible to wash the genitals with water, then they should be wiped with tissue paper or toilet paper.
Vagina has its own cleaning mechanism that maintains a balance between bad and good bacteria. Washing it with soap can eliminate the good bacteria here, which can increase the chances of infection. Therefore, to wash the vaginal area, only use lukewarm water. If using any soap or intimate wash, do it only on the outside, not on the inside.
It is important to avoid pad rashes. This problem often occurs during heavy flow days. This happens when the pad remains wet for a long time and rubs off the skin. To avoid this, change the pads regularly during periods and try to keep the genital area dry. In spite of this, apply antiseptic ointment in the vaginal area before going to bed and after taking a bath.

This will cause rashes to heal and also to protect them. But if the problem of rashes increases too much then show it to a gynecologist. You can also use medicated powder to keep the genital area dry and infection-free during periods, with the advice of a doctor.
Take a shower regularly
Bathing should be done regularly during this period. In many places it is believed that bathing or washing of hair during periods should be avoided, but in reality this is not true. Previously it was because there was a tradition of bathing in open ponds or river ghats, due to which there was a risk of getting infected blood in the water during periods. But now that most of the houses have well furnished bathrooms, there is no harm in bathing during these days.
Sanitary pad selection
The specialty of a good sanitary pad is that it has the ability to absorb more moisture in less time. Absorbed moisture should lock into the central core of the pad. In this case, the possibility of leakage also decreases when there is a high flow (eg, sitting posture).
Blood flow is usually faster in the early days of periods. Therefore, during this time, a sanitary napkin is needed which can absorb the blood flow quickly. Sanitary pads can be divided into two categories – day pads and night pads. While day pads are 17 to 25 centimeters long, night pads are 35 centimeters or even longer. The longer the pad, the more liquid absorbs.
Most sanitary napkins are made of either cotton, or PVC mesh material. The skin and sensitivity of each woman is different. A soft touch suits some, a net layer. When choosing the material of sanitary napkin, keep in mind that it should be breedable.
