To avoid diarrhea, the Ministry of Health has given the following suggestions, which will help you to protect your children from diarrhea:
Dissolve one packet of ORS in one liter of water. It has to be given to the child from the beginning of the hand till the recovery of the hand.
Drink ORS solution as soon as the hand is cast and continue this sequence until after the squad is finished.
You should drink a tablet of zinc dissolved in a teaspoon of water or mother’s milk, it must be fed for 14 days.
Zinc reduces the intensity of diarrhea, it does not cause diarrhea for three months apart, it increases the body’s resistance.
Continue to give the child breast milk and diet during and after diarrhea.
What should be the amount of ORS solution according to age?
Give the child under 2 months of age a solution of 5 tablespoons of ORS.
Children aged 2 months to 2 years should give ORS solution after one quarter of a cup to half a cup.
Children between 2 and 5 years of age should give ORS solution after half cup to one cup of the squad.
What should be the dose of zinc by age?
For children of 2 to 6 months, half tablet should be dissolved in clean water or breast milk. Whereas children from 6 months to 5 years should be given one tablet of zinc. Zinc should be given regularly for 14 days.
